I have the privilege of knowing Desiree not only as my midwife but as my best friends mom. When I found out I was going to be a young first time single mom, I knew right away that I wanted Desiree to be there through the process as my midwife. Before I found out I was expecting, as a student nurse I had previously shadowed a birth with her and got the privilege of seeing her in action. This inspired me to pursue becoming a midwife myself. I saw the way she was so invested in the mother and baby and truly has such a passion for what she does - bringing life into the world, what a precious thing!
